After a year and a half of hosting a CGI based database site with a shared hosting company, resulting in occasional server overloads and web site shutdowns, it’s obvious that I need to change my hosting plan. My former hosting company says that the CGI scripts are causing the overloads. Would a VPS hosting plan be a good alternative for me? Does anyone know any good, reliable VPS hosting companies?
Thanks!

Hi,
A VPS hosting package definitely sounds suitable if you need dedicated resources and want to have full control over these. It means that your sites won’t get shut down obviously as you would be in control of them.
At NetHosted we offer both managed and unmanaged VPS solutions depending which you require, we have a full description of these on our page if you want to take a look. We mainly host business clients on our VPS packages, we pride ourselves on our quality support.
If you have any questions please use the contact us form on our site, and check out our packages in the link below, thanks!

VPS should be good option for you at the most because it is like a dedicated server about resource usage, each VPS has its own server load and it can be individually rebooted.
No, many shared web hosts support your needs.
