I had the same problem as you. My webhost at the time wanted to squeeze me off of their server and upsell their VPS package. You can actually find reliable and affordable virtual private server hosting for cheap. When this happened to me a few years back, I used http://www.ApacheVPS.com and nver looked back. 24 x 7 USA support, USA based, only $12 per month. Good luck!
