I need to share an Outlook calendar with an employee, but our company is too small to use a server. How do we share calendars without a server?

My friend is leasing his own server for the first time, and he has given me a reseller account. I would like to run a web host off of my reseller account, but the server does not have the latest version of CPanel, PHP, or MySQL, nor does it have Python installed.

I do not have admin access to the server, but my friend does. He told me that he would upgrade all of these things for me if I could find out how. So here I am!

If somebody could provide some kind of instructions…is it done through WHM?

How do I become a fansite host like them? What is there host? What package should I buy: reseller, dedicates server, etc.? Any more details?

Also, the interface that is sharing the connection has a default static IP of 192.168.0.1. Is there a way to change this?

I need to learn web design as soon as possible to start a small business designing and hosting web pages and email services for local business and other small organizations. I know someone who already does the same thing successfully. Entire web sites are designed with MS Publisher and uploaded to a web hosting reseller, which takes the technical aspects out of everything. I am really serious about doing this, out of both personal interest and necessity. Before I attempt this though I need to know whether I should go the same route as my friend and use WYSIWYG software to design the pages or go the professional route and code by hand. If you do or have done this and have an idea of how many months it will take minimum, to start designing pages for business, please share your thoughts. I’ve already done some google searches but am looking for some last input from personal experience incase there’s anything I’ve missed.

I don’t want GoDaddy because one of their resellers hijacked one of my domain names and held it for ransom. I need a domain registrar who will let me mask forward my domain name to my web host and will include some free email capability. I’d like to use Yahoo again but those Yahoos won’t let me change the email account on my domain. Totally user un-friendly. No wonder they’re losing market price.

I want to have a hosting company JUST like this with simple website builders and easy to use features. What company are these guys using and reselling to their customers or what is a good hosting reseller with shoopping cart software?

I thought about a reseller account but they are so expensive. The only other thing I need to ensure is that the PHP Mail() function is supported as my enquiry forms use this function.
