I have 4 static IP address coming into my main Frac-T1 modem. From the modem is a 4 port switch. There are two routers connected to the switch. Each router is set to detect a different IP address coming off the modem. One router has the server wired dirctly to it, as well as another PC running XP. The other router is connected to two 16 port switches, with 25 XP desktops, a network printer, and a network fax.
I have the server set up as a domain controller, but none of the computers (the one sharing the server router included) are able to connect to the domain. They don’t ‘see’ the domain.
Is my hardware wiring wrong? At least the computer connected to the same router as the server should be able to detect the domain, right?

Linking sites hosted in the same shared server, is it Google safe?
Two sites hosted in the same shared server, they have different IP’s but the same DSN’s. Can you interlink them? Is it better to promote just one (the directory from the forum)?
Please note that one is a forum, and the backlinks could show up many times if it is included in the advertising manager.

How do I make a server domain my friends can join in Linux?
I made a SUSE Studio appliance and I’m wondering when I pass the .iso to my friends they can access my appliance as a server to pass shared files from their versions to mine so we don’t have to upload files and folders to file sharing sites and just put it on my computer that everyone can access. I need like a network with a password they can connect to is basically what I’m trying to say. Anyone know how to do this?
Windows 2k server will not display shared resources properly. When I try to access the folder, i see 0 objects?
This started happening this weekend. All shared folders have everyone full control. I can open the shared folder locally (When rdp’d to the server, I run its address) and the shares show up. It seems like a firewall issue but I uninstalled the firewall and disabled it on my end. I checked all services. Everything is configured right but for some reason, no one can see the shares.
FYI, all XP and Vista home/business computers cannot see the shares.
Shared server hosting query?
My website is an ecommerce site on a shared server, which is hosted by my web design company through a hosting company.
Do I have a legal right to the backend of the site eg. the coding? I can update the actual product pages via cubecart but want to do some SEO and can’t afford their stupidly high fees. I have asked and was told that their coding is protected and ‘don’t want me messing up the other sites’. Is it not possible just to have access to my own? Is the only way to solve this problem via a dedicated server, as they have suggested?

Elementary question, I know, but I just need to wrap my head around it. I can install a program on a server and then shared the executable to a client. Right? How can the client run it exactly?
